Professor Abodo Jacko Rhedoor

Professor Abodo is the Chair of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) AFRICA region and a WHO expert on non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
He serves as the Head of the Department of Endocrinology Diabetology and Deputy Head of the Medical Commission at Yopougon Teaching Hospital.

He is the Director of the Diploma in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition, and the President of the Obesity and Diabetes Association of Côte d’Ivoire (AODCI) and the NCD Alliance of Côte d’Ivoire.

Prof. Abodo is a Board Member of the African Society of Endocrinology Metabolism Nutrition (SAEMN) / Pan-African Federations of Endocrine Societies (PAFES) and a Member of the Advocacy group of the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE).

His advocacy work includes leading diabetes and NCD associations and serving on the boards of regional associations. His research interests encompass atypical diabetes, thyropathies, and pituitary diseases in tropical environments.
