Professor Allan Arthur Vaag
Since 1996, She is working at BIRDEM, where she currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Endocrinology. She completed a Diploma in Endocrinology and Metabolism in July 2002 and received MD in Endocrinology in July 2009.
She is the President-Elect of the Bangladesh Endocrine Society and the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES). Additionally, She is the Member Secretary of the Research Cell at BIRDEM and a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) as well as a Fellow of the Association of American College of Endocrinology (AACE).She is Assistant editor of BIRDEM Medical journal.
She was also been involved as a co-investigator in several studies, including the International Diabetes Management Practice Study, the Diabcare Asia 2008 (ID-INS-3738), the Mother and Child Health Study in collaboration with BADAS and Oslo University (2010), the Multi-Centre Cost Study (2012) in Bangladesh; a randomized controlled trial of Linagliptin (2012), the IOHAT study (2014), the INITIAL Study (2015), and the Changing Diabetes Barometer project since 2017.
